MONTICELLO, Ky. - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Cumberland invites all ghouls, goblins and creatures that go bump in the night to join them at “The Haunted Fun Fest at Mill Springs Mill” on Friday, Oct. 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Free to the public, this family friendly festival will have several booths from both government and state agencies, which will be handing out information and candy. Guests can also explore the “haunted” mill and take a living history “ghost walk” tour.
Costumes are welcomed and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments provided by the Friends of Lake Cumberland will be on hand and parking is available across from the historic Brown Lanier House on Highway 1275, just off Highway 90 between Somerset and Monticello, and four miles from Conley Bottom Resort.
For more information or questions please contact Park Ranger Aurora Scott at Lake Cumberland’s Resource Manager’s Office at (606) 679-6337.
