FORT HOOD, Texas -- Fort Hood officials have released the name of a soldier who died from injuries suffered from a motorcycle accident, Nov. 15. He was pronounced deceased by doctors at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center at 10:44 p.m.
Sgt. Brandon L. Martin, 29, whose home of record is listed as Killeen, Texas, entered the military in April 2005 as a petroleum supply specialist. He was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 206th Military Intelligence Battalion, Fort Hood, since June 2012.
Martin deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from October 2008 to September 2009.
Martin's awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, three Army Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Component Overseas Training Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, and Multinational Force and Observers Medal.
