JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA-BOLLING, D.C. - Columbus, Ohio’s own Alec M. Bruner is slated to perform for more than 53 million spectators as part of the United States Air Force Honor Guard Parade Flight’s appearance at the 86th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® Nov. 22 in New York City.
Airman 1st Class Bruner joined the United States Air Force Honor Guard April 25, 2011, where he represents airmen all across the service to the American public and the world as a ceremonial guardsman.
“I am proud to represent the dedicated professional men and women in the world’s greatest Air Force as my flight steps in unison and formation to project the image of excellence instilled in every Airman,” said Bruner.
The parade begins at 9 a.m. East Coast time, and will be broadcast on many television stations.
Located at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, D.C., the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard leads the way as representatives of all airmen around the world, both past and present.
Now, as one of the Air Force's oldest organizations, the honor guard continues to serve the Chief of Staff of the Air Force as the face of the Air Force to the American and global public.
Airmen of every enlisted rank and both company and field grade officers volunteer and are competitively selected from their peers in more than 200 different Air Force career fields to serve in the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard, making the honor guard the standard for discipline and military professionalism.
