MILWAUKEE, Wis. - John Schlichenmeyer, a Defense Contract Management Agency Milwaukee quality assurance technical lead, recently initiated an impromptu invitation to the agency’s director, Charlie E. Williams Jr., to attend the contract management office’s training and All-Hands meeting.
Williams accepted the invitation. During his quick visit, he took the opportunity to talk to Milwaukee employees and Keystone interns.
Williams toured the CMO’s new main office and talked with employees. The CMO’s leadership briefed the director on DCMA Milwaukee’s mission successes and challenges.
After meeting with the CMO’s Keystone interns, Williams presented several awards and kicked off the CMO training and All Hands gathering. He spoke on the state of the agency and fielded several questions from the workforce.
His discussion was followed by a security briefing presented by an FBI agent who discussed industrial espionage and foreign national access. The presentation also included awareness information for DCMA employees who perform work in contractor facilities.
During the team breakout training that followed, Williams sat in on several of the discussions.
The visit was coordinated by DCMA Milwaukee employees Meloniece Gaskin, management assistant, and Matt Kennedy, Schlichenmeyer’s team leader.
