HOLIDAY LIGHTS AND CHRISTMAS TREES TRADITIONALLY GO UP AFTER THANKSGIVING. ON OKINAWA MARINE CORPORAL MICHAEL LOPEZ TAKES US TO TORII STATION WHERE SERVICE MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES HAVE THE CHANCE TO COME TOGETHER AND CELEBRATE THE LIGHTING OF THEIR CHRISTMAS TREE.
ONCE A YEAR, EVERY YEAR FAMILY MEMBERS ON OKINAWA HAVE THE CHANCE TO COME OUT TO TORII STATION FOR THEIR ANNUAL TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY. SOME OF THE MOST IMPORTANT MEMORIES IN A CHILDS LIFE IS THE CHANCE TO TELL SANTA WHAT THEY WANT FOR CHRISTMAS.
By having an opportunity like this for the families to come out and enjoy a family friendly event and the chance to see Santa Claus. For I have a 12 year old a 9 and 5 year old and they love the event because it a good event for them and it’s all based on Santa Claus.
WITH THE HELP OF SOME LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS, THE FOOD, GAMES AND MEMORIES HELPED MAKE A LASTING IMPRESSION ON MANY OF THE FAMILIES IN ATTENDANCE AT THIS YEARS TORII STATION TREE LIGHTING CERIMONY.
