    SAN ANTONIO – Hall of fame NBA center David Robinson stopped by Blossom Athletic Center to watch the first day of practice for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl West team, Dec. 31.

    The 10-time NBA All-Star and retired San Antonio Spurs player watched as his son, Corey Robinson, wide receiver for the West, practiced alongside other All-American players.

    Corey, No. 88, earned his spot on the U.S. Army All-American team while playing wide-receiver for San Antonio Christian School.

    The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is in its 13th year and highlights the nation's top high school football players, along with the best high school marching band musicians and color guard members.

    Players in the bowl are paired with U.S. Army Soldier Heroes for a variety of events throughout the week.

    The U.S Army All-American Bowl has produced more than 180 NFL players and 54 first-round picks. This year's U.S Army All-American Bowl is scheduled for kickoff Saturday, Jan. 5 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
