MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE, Calif. – The 304th Special Troops Battalion will conduct a ceremony Jan. 10 to say farewell to family members and their community in preparation for a one-year mission to provide logistics and other support to Army units training at Fort Bliss, Texas.
The 304th Special Troops Battalion is located in Riverside, California, with most of its part-time members living within 50 miles of the headquarters. More than 100 Soldiers will leave California at the end of the month to provide training and equipment support for units and individual troops processing through Fort Bliss. This critical mission ensures Army Reserve Soldiers are prepared for overseas deployments and they are taken care of when they return to the States.
The ceremony starts at 10 a.m. sharp at Building 467, Baucom Ave., March Air Reserve Base, Riverside, CA 92518.
Media are invited to the event, but must contact Lt. Col. Gregg Moore prior to attending the event to gain proper access to the base. Soldiers will be available for interviews.
