    Staff Sgt. Anthony Jones is a multimedia team leader with the 145th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment, Oklahoma Army National Guard. There he leads a team of dedicated storytellers with the motto of "Unsung, the noblest deed will die" - a promise that the team will ensure that the stories of Oklahoma's Citizen-Soldiers and Airmen will not go unsung. Jones has a long history with the Oklahoma National Guard public affairs community. He joined the Oklahoma Army National Guard as a public affairs specialist in 2006 first serving with Detachment 1, 105th MPAD, later reflagged as the 145th MPAD. Jones served in various roles with the 105/145th MPAD until 2015. During that time, the unit deployed to Iraq where Jones was assigned as a public affairs specialist with the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division and the 3rd Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division. In addition to deploying in support of OIF, Jones also took part in multiple overseas exercises that focused on ally and partner reassurance and deterrence of adversarial nations Jones' first ODT was to South Korea, where he supported Exercise Ulchi Focus Lens. His second was to Estonia, where he supported elements of the 173rd Airborne Brigade following Russia's annexation of Crimea. Jones moved to the 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team in 2015 to assume leadership of the 45th's public affairs section. While serving as the 45th IBCT's public affairs NCOIC, Jones deployed to Ukraine and served as the Joint Multinational Training Group - Ukraine public affairs NCO. Jones served as the 45th IBCT's public affairs NCOIC through May 2022, when he rejoined the 145th MPAD. Jones also serves as the OKNG digital media manager, overseeing the operation of OKNG social media, websites and digital signage around the state.
