    John A. Turner John A. Turner is a Public Affairs Specialist assigned to the 341st Missile Wing Public Affairs Office, Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana. Mr. Turner’s duties include creating public affairs products for internal and external audiences that include news and features articles, press releases, and social media updates. He also photographs official military portraits, ceremonies, investigations, newsworthy events, and military life. Mr. Turner enlisted into the active duty Air Force in 1993 and served as a Still Photographer for six years before retraining into the Public Affairs career field. He was a 1999 honor graduate of the Basic Journalist Course, Defense Information School, at Fort George G. Meade, Md., and was a member of the Air Force Space Command Guardian Challenge 2000 public affairs team at Vandenberg AFB, Ca. After leaving active duty in September 2000, Mr. Turner was employed as a military photographer at Malmstrom until April 2014, first as an Air Force Reservist, later as a contracted civilian and most recently as a federal civil service employee. He also served in the Montana Air National Guard from February 2010 to August 2013 as a photojournalist.
