Currently serving as the Social Media and Web Administrator for US Army Garrison Fort Campbell. Yvette has been a dedicated contributor to the Fort Campbell Public Affairs Office since June 2012.
Prior to her current position, Yvette served as media relations officer for Fort Campbell and the 101st Airborne Division (AASLT). Her responsibilities included acting as a spokesperson in the absence of the PAO and Deputy PAO, establishing effective relationships with media representatives, and coordinating media events. Additionally, Yvette played a pivotal role in analyzing the effectiveness of the public affairs program, identifying concerns in public opinion, and advising on corrective actions.
Yvette also served as a Public Affairs Specialist-Journalist at Fort Campbell from June 2012 to June 2014. During this time, she garnered recognition as the IMCOM Civilian Print Journalist of the Year. Yvette reviewed, prepared, and wrote news and feature articles for various publications. Her comprehensive knowledge of the installation public affairs program, combined with excellent communication skills, made her a valuable asset to the Fort Campbell Public Affairs Office.
In 2010, Yvette retired after 23 years of active duty in the Army. Her last active-duty assignment was as Equal Opportunity Advisor (EOA) and Deployable Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (DSARC) for 101st Airborne Division (AASLT). Over the course of five years, she managed and implemented the 101st Airborne Division Equal Opportunity (EO) Program, conducted unit assessments, and provided counseling and training on EO matters. Her exemplary service serving as primary instructor for the Fort Campbell Equal Opportunity Leaders Course. As the Deployed Sexual Assault Response Coordinator, she oversaw the implementation and execution of DoD and Army Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) directives while deployed during OIF.
Yvette also served three years as a Drill Sergeant and linguist at the Defense Language Institute English Learning Center (ELIELC), San Antonio, Texas. Other assignments include: 314th Military Intelligence Battalion, San Antonio, Texas; HHC 82nd Aviation Brigade and HHC 1-17th Cavalry, 82nd Airborne Division 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC; 43rd Area Support Group, Fort Carson, Colorado, HHC SETAF, Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy; HHC 18th Airborne Corps, Fort Bragg, NC.
Yvette earned her master's degree in business administration (MBA) from Liberty University in December 2010, and a bachelor's degree in resource management with honors (Summa Cum Laude) from Troy University in December 2008. Her educational journey also includes Digital Image Management from the Art Institute of Tennessee-Nashville, earned in December 2012.
