    MC2 (SW/EXW) Cole C. Pielop Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Cole C. Pielop, a native of Rathdrum, Idaho, enlisted in the Navy in July 2014. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois, he reported to Defense Information School at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, graduating from the Basic Mass Communication Specialist Course in April 2015, with Basic Multimedia Illustrator Course “C” school to follow. His first duty assignment was aboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), homeported in Bremerton, Wash. During his tour, he deployed on one Western Pacific deployment, where he earned his enlisted surface warfare designation and was advanced to petty officer 3rd class shortly after. During the shipyard period after deployment, he returned to DINFOS to attend the Intermediate Photojournalism Course “C” School. Pielop has been stationed at Navy Public Affairs Support Element West Det. Hawaii since August of 2018. He currently acts as the command supply petty officer and building manager. During his time in Hawaii he deployed to Commander, Task Force 75 in Guam in support of expeditionary commands in the 7th Fleet where he earned his expeditionary warfare designation. His awards include the Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 awards), Good Conduct Medal (2 awards), and numerous campaign and unit awards.
