Sergeant (Sgt) Devin J. Andrews was born in Long Island, New York. In January of 2015, he reported to MCRD Parris Island, South Carolina. Upon graduation, Private First Class (PFC) Andrews reported to Camp Geiger, North Carolina, for Marine Combat Training.
In May 2015, PFC Andrews reported to Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, where he completed Entry Level Training as a combat videographer obtaining the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) – 4571. During MOS training PFC Andrews went on Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) for 9 months to Combat Camera (COMCAM), HQMC, Pentagon, where he served as a combat videographer.
In April of 2016, Lance Corporal Andrews reported to COMCAM, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, as a combat videographer. He was promoted to the rank of Corporal (Cpl) 1 October 2017. During his tenure there, Cpl Andrews served as a COMCAM team lead for the operations section and led his team during three iterations of the cold weather training exercises at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport, California.
In July of 2018, Cpl Andrews reported to U.S. Marine Forces, Europe and Africa, in Stuttgart, Germany, as a combat videographer. He was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Sergeant (Sgt) in September 2018. Since reporting Sgt Andrews has participated in (1) Joint Multi-National Exercise – Trident Juncture 2018, and (2) Bi-Lateral Exercises – Archipelago Endeavor 2018 and White Claymore 2019.
His personal awards include (1) Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal, (1) Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, (1) Certification of Commendation, and (6) Letters of Appreciation.
