    Kenneth D. Aston Jr. is a seasoned photographer currently assigned to the Public Affairs Office at the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) in Annapolis, Maryland. In this role, he provides photographic support for the USNA Superintendent, staff, and midshipmen, covering a range of assignments including studio operations, official portraits, and passport photography. Originally from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Kenneth pursued his passion for photography by enrolling at the Antonelli Institute of Art and Photography after graduating high school. He began his career as a civilian photographer and lab technician before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force in 1989. Kenneth served for five years as a boat master before transitioning into photography, attending the Defense Information School (DINFOS) in 1995. Following graduation, he was assigned to various posts as a still photographer, documenting missions across the United States and overseas. After an honorable discharge in 2001, Kenneth continued to build his expertise through civilian roles in photography and public affairs, becoming a federal employee in 2016.
