MC2 ANDREW SKIPWORTH

Petty Officer 2nd Class Skipworth is currently assigned to the Defense Media Activity at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. There, he covers various events in the region and around the country through still photography and digital videography. He shoots, edits, and writes products in support of the Secretary of the Navy’s strategic communication goals.
Prior to DMA, he served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), primarily as a Graphic Design Specialist. She helped to gather imagery and document the Truman’s story within a three-year period. He provided support for daily evolutions, contributing heavily to the ship’s newspaper and various Navy media platforms. At the same time, he was overseeing the 3M program as media department’s safety petty officer.
