Brooke A. Spenner, previously Deiters, is from Carlyle, IL., and joined the Marine Corps in 2014 as a combat photographer. After honorably serving 4 years active duty she joined the Air Force Reserves as a public affairs photojournalist.
She served as a videographer in Okinawa, Japan. In February of 2016 she went temporary additional duty (TAD) to Thailand for Cobra Gold 2016. In April of 2016 Spennerwent TAD to the Philippines for Balikatan 2016.
Spenner rejoined the photo section at MCIPAC Combat Camera in August 2016. In December 2016 Spenner responded to a MV-22 Osprey crash site working to capture the imagery needed for the investigation. In March of 2017 Spenner went TAD to Iwo To (Jima). From April to June 2017 Spenner went TAD to Defense Joint POW/MIA Accounting Agency.
Spenner reported to Marine Corps Base Quantico,to serve as a combat photographer and videographer in August 2017 to August 2018.
In September 2018 Spenner joined the Air Force Reserves, and began serving with the 932nd Airlift Wing.
Spenner has completed DINFOS Basic still photography course and the intermediate photojournalism course.
