Brian Hill is a Public Affairs Specialist at Fort Leonard Wood. He came to the Public Affairs Office in 2019, as the GUIDON managing editor. An Air Force veteran, Brian has filled multiple Public Affairs roles over the years, including chief of media relations for the 30th Space Wing Public Affairs Office at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California; managing editor of the Kaiserslautern American newspaper at Ramstein Air Base, Germany; and non-commissioned officer in charge for the 71st Flying Training Wing Public Affairs Office at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma. Brian also deployed to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, filling both command information and media relations roles. Brian successfully completed the Defense Information School’s Basic Journalism Course in 1998, and Editor's Course in 2003. He completed his bachelor's degree in History, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, in 2015.
