    Lance Cpl. Emma Gray was born in Charlotte, North Carolina in August of 1997. In 2019, she enlisted into the Delayed Entry Program for the United States Marine Corps. She graduated from James W Robinson, Jr. Secondary School in 2015. She graduated from Florida State University in 2019 where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. In October of 2019, Gray reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina for Recruit Training, where she graduated as a Private First Class. Upon completion of recruit training, Pfc. Gray reported to SOI East for Marine Combat Training. She then reported to the Defense Information School in Ft. Meade, Maryland to attend the Mass Communication Foundations Course. She was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal July of 2020 while at DINFOS. She graduated from the Mass Communication Foundations course in October of 2020. She then attended the follow-on Visual Documentation Course which she graduated in February of 2021 and was assigned the Military Occupational Specialty 4541 (Combat Photographer). Upon graduating from DINFOS she reported to 2nd Marine Division COMMSTRAT. In February of 2022, Lance Cpl. Gray deployed to Europe and Africa with Task Force 61/2, documenting various training and operational activities in Greece, Estonia, Spain, and Senegal. In February of 2023, Lance Cpl. Gray deployed to Israel with 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion for Intrepid Maven 23. In April of 2023 Lance Cpl. Gray received a DoD Media Award-Marines for a Photo Illustration. Lance Cpl. Gray’s personal awards include the National Defense Service Medal (1), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal (1), Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (1), United States Coast Guard Special Operations Service Ribbon (1), and Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (1).
