Staff Sgt. (SSG) Vincent Levelev enlisted as a Mass Communications Public Affairs Specialist in the U.S. Army in November 2019. He has completed the Basic Airborne Course and the Basic Leader's Course. His assignments include the 49th Public Affairs Detachment, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division; Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Division Special Troops Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division Sustainment Brigade; Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade; and Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assualt).
SSG Levelev has deployed in support of the Federal Vaccine Response in 2021 during the outbreak of COVID-19 in Los Angeles, California, and Tulsa, Oklahoma. He also deployed in support of Operation European Assure, Deter, Reinforce in Poland in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR), covering operations in Iraq, Syria, Jordan, and Kuwait in 2024, and OIR again covering operations in Kuwait and Iraqi Kurdistan in 2025.
His military awards and decorations include the Parachutist Badge, Driver and Mechanic Badge, Army Commendation Medal (5), Army Achievement Medal (4), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, and Army Good Conduct Medal.
