Mass Communication Specialist Second Class Petty Officer (Surface Warfare/Air Warfare) Rebekah A. Watkins
Petty Officer Watkins was born and raised in Sautee, Ga. She graduated from Mountain Education Charter School in 2012 and shortly after attended the University of North Georgia before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 2016.
She completed recruit basic training at Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes, Ill., followed by Basic Mass Communication Specialist Course "A" school at the Defense Information School (DINFOS) on Ft. George G. Meade, Md., which she graduated from in March 2017.
Upon completing DINFOS training, she reported to the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) from March 2017 to July 2020, where she completed two deployments. She then transitioned to the Chief of Naval Personnel command in Arlington, Va., where she is currently assigned.
Petty Officer Watkins is a recipient of two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and two Good Conduct awards.
