Sgt. Terry Vongsouthi enlisted in the U.S. Army in July of 2016 as a Multichannel Transmission Systems Operator-Maintainer, where he completed training in Fort Gordon, Georgia, Cyber Center of Excellence. He was stationed with 51st Signal Battalion at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State where, aside from his normal duties as a Signal Soldier, he volunteered his personal camera and time to manage his unit's social media and capture the actions of his peers. With the support and blessing of his command, Vongsouthi re-enlisted in January of 2020 to pursue his dream of becoming a 25V, an Army Combat Documentation/Production Specialist. In January of 2021, Vongsouthi attended the Defense Information School located at Fort Meade, MD and graduated in July while being awarded the Best Storyteller Award in the process. He is currently stationed with 55th Signal Company (COMCAM) in Fort Meade, MD.
Vongsouthi's education includes an Associates Degree in Graphic Design from Spartanburg Community College (2014), Mass Communications Foundations (MCF), and MCF - Visual Documentation (2021).
