Senior Airman Brittany L. Russell is a public affairs specialist assigned to the 35th Fighter Wing at Misawa Air Base, Japan. As a part of the free and open Indo-Pacific, Russell is responsible for developing and approving strategic messaging that supports the wing’s mission of protecting U.S. national security interests in the Pacific, defending Japan and allied nations, and deterring adversaries through the projection of combat air power.
Originally from North Carolina, Russell enlisted into the Air Force in November 2020 and completed her technical training at the Defense Information School at Fort Meade, Maryland.
Looking ahead, Russell aims to continue growing as a communicator and leader in the Air Force, using her expertise to strengthen messaging and enhance public understanding of the mission. She is dedicated to telling the Air Force story and hopes to inspire the next generation of service members through impactful storytelling and media engagement.
