    A Chicago native, Chief Mass Communication Specialist (SW/AW/EXW) Torrey W. Lee is currently assigned to Commander, U.S. Second Fleet, where he serves as the Public Affairs Supervisor and DLCPO. Since joining the Navy in 2006, Lee has served in a variety of dynamic roles, including aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), as a flag staff member at Commander, U.S. Third Fleet, and in operational deployments with Fleet Combat Camera Pacific. His career also includes assignments with Navy Public Affairs Support Element Japan, the Naval History and Heritage Command, and now U.S. Second Fleet. Lee is a graduate of the Military Visual Journalism Program at Syracuse University and holds the distinction of being a rated “Master Photojournalist.” Throughout his career, he has been recognized for excellence in his craft, earning the prestigious Russell Egnor Award for sports writing, graphic design, and a picture story on NASA. With nearly two decades of service, Lee continues to lead and mentor the next generation of Navy communicators while telling the Navy's story at the highest level.
