U.S. Army SPC Nathan Morse was born in Denver, Colorado, on April 6th, 2004. He moved all over the country, living in Oklahoma, California, and Mississippi and finally settling in Houston, Texas. While in high school, Morse joined JROTC and quickly rose through the ranks. It was from this experience that he was inspired to enlist in the Army. On July 5th 2022, Morse left for basic training just two months after graduating high school. He graduated from Fort Jackson, South Carolina, on September 29th, 2022. Shortly after, he left for Advanced Individual Training at Defense Information School, Fort Meade, Md, and graduated MCF on March 9th. While at the Army Public Affairs Center Student Company, Morse held many leadership positions, including squad leader, floor leader, and PG. He currently works for the DINFOS Command staff as an office assistant. During AIT, Morse has three short-term goals he wants to accomplish here. First, he aims to score above 546 on the ACFT, become Student First Sergeant for APAC Student Co, and successfully graduate from MCF—one of these goals he has already accomplished. In the longer term, Morse wants to earn a bachelor's degree in filmmaking and cinematography. Finally, he wants to serve at least twenty years in the Army and use the green to gold program to become an officer. At the 7th MPAD He became the unit guidon bearer, unit CBRN rep and unit armorer. He competed in both of the truth-seeker challenges which is a gruesome test of physical fitness and helped bring the team to victory.
