Sgt. Griffin Payne is from Susquehanna, Pennsylvania. He is passionate about photography, exploring new things, and experiencing new experiences. He has been to 26/50 states and is excited to travel. His dream is to see all 50 states and to experience leaving the United States of America.
Enlisted in the United States Army as an infantryman in July 2023. He served as a rifleman, before becoming a grenadier. He served with 101st Airborne (Air Assault) Division, 1st Brigade Combat Team “Bastogne”, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Battalion for his time at Fort Campbell. While there he went with his unit on multiple Joint Readiness Training Center rotations. He was awarded the Air Assault Badge after successfully completing the Air Assault Course at The Sabalauski Air Assault School. He was selected to become an operations assistant in the battalion's operations and planning shop. He was assigned to become the unit's army barracks manager program representative. His duties were to ensure cleanliness, clearing soldiers and ensuring soldiers were taken care of. throughout the battalion's barracks footprint. In April 2023, he reclassed from Infantry to Public Affairs. He was subsequently assigned as a Mass Communication Specialist with the 24th Theater Public Affairs Support Element.
