Savannah P. Olvera was born on July 11, 2001, in Apple Valley California. She graduated from Whittier High School in Whittier, California, in June of 2019.
On May 16, 2023, Mrs. Olvera enlisted as a 46S Public Affairs Mass Communications Specialist in the U.S. Army, reporting to Fort Jackson, South Carolina, for Basic Combat Training.
Upon completing BCT, Pfc. Olvera began Advanced Individual Training on Fort Meade, M.D., where she attended the Defense Information School. She graduated from the Mass Communication Foundation course on Feb. 23, 2024.
Pfc. Olvera reported to her first duty station, the 27th Public Affairs Detachment, 10th Mountain Division, March 6, 2024. While assigned to the 27th PAD, she served as a photographer, writer, and archival specialist. She has already completed numerous missions with the unit and coverage for Mountain Fest throughout her time on Fort Drum.
