I joined the Air Force February 28, 2012 as a broadcast journalist. My first duty station was Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota where I started out as a part of the broadcast section of the 28th Bomb Wing Public Affairs office. There I covered the mission of the B-1 bomber and highlighted the various missions of the squadron. I eventually went to take on the role of acting NCOIC of the section. From there I spent a year in South Korea where I was the first broadcaster at AFN Humphreys. There I covered everything from exercises to hard news and even flew with NASA. I also graduated the Advanced Electronic Journalism Class during my time there. After my tour in Korea I came to work at the Joint Combat Camera Center as a member of the Defense Visual Information team at DMA. There I work to ensure delivery of Department of Defense imagery to the National Archives and to assist our civilian counterparts in planning and tracking Combat Camera Assets.
