Its October and the ASC History Office wanted to do something a little different to mark the month of ghouls, goblins and candy. While we pride ourselves on collecting accurate and detailed information on the history of the Army and ASC, we do understand that there is a gray area that exists in “unofficial” accounts or “unattributed” sources of information. It is in these areas where the ghost stories live. While, as historians, we remain skeptical of these stories, we do collect them to preserve for posterity or to share for Halloween. Ghost stories or accounts of unexplained events exist on almost every Army installation and can be an interesting way to study Army myth or folklore.

We are sending out a different ASC History Newsletter than we have in the past. We have received many questions over the past few months on how we can help you and your organization in your mission. This newsletter is just a short familiarization of what we do and how we are here to assist you and your specific mission.
