The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District (USACE) has conducted an Environmental Assessment (EA) in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, as amended, for the Ohio Riverfront – Cincinnati, Ohio Phase II Feasibility Study, which addresses recreation enhancements at Smale Park, as outlined in the Section 1202(b) of the Water
Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act of 2016 (P.L. 114-322, 130 Stat 1684).

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District has completed a draft feasibility report for the Ohio Riverfront - Cincinnati, Ohio (Phase 2) in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Louisville District is working in coordination with the City of Cincinnati and Hamilton County to help improve and revitalize the Ohio River’s edge at Smale Park along the Ohio River in downtown Cincinnati.
The draft report includes a draft Finding of No Significant Impact Statement, Draft Feasibility Report with an integrated Environmental Assessment, Appendices for the report include Engineering, Environmental and Cultural Resources, Cost, Economics, Real Estate, and Climate Assessment., The Feasibility Report includes the identification and evaluation of alternatives and the recommendation of which alternative is proposed as the solution to improve the riverbank along Smale Park.
