Members of Pensacola High School’s football team take off during the 880-yard sprint portion of the Marine Corps’ Combat Fitness Test at Pensacola High School’s practice field July 25 in Pensacola, Fla. Marines hosted a three-hour training session where they worked with students to test endurance and discipline. The Marines were at the school as a way to contribute to their local community.
“We just want to help men and women better themselves on and off the field,” Thorne explained. “This is our community, not just where we work.”
