U.S. Navy Lieutenant Adam Rondina, STEM Coordinator for Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune explains what students from Onslow County and Camp Lejeune DoDEA schools did while attending the first Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Fair at NMCCL on November 4, 2022. This was NMCCL's first STEM fair with community members since 2019.
NMCCL leadership and staff were excited to restart the STEM program which had been put on hold due to the pandemic.
The event gave students the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of health care and science fields. Approximately, 200 students rotated through a series of stations led by NMCCL Sailors and staff, and each station focused on a different skillset and STEM-related field.
