EAST OF HOKKAIDO (June 5, 2022) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyers USS Milius (DDG 69) and USS Gridley (DDG 101) sail together with Henry J. Kaiser-class underway replenishment oilers USNS Guadalupe (T-AO 200) and USNS Rappahannock (T-AO 204) in the waters east of Hokkaido, Japan. The U.S. Navy’s Combat Logistics Force delivers essential supplies, fuel, cargo and equipment to warfighters, both at sea and on shore, and routinely conducts replenishments-at-sea with international partners and allies operating in the Indo-Pacific region. Milius and Gridley are attached to Commander, Task Force 71 on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability through alliances and partnerships while serving as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
