The aircrew and aircraft were assigned to the 62nd Airlift Wing out of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. The 2/11 IBCT (A) is the only airborne infantry brigade combat team in the Arctic and Pacific theaters, providing the combatant commander with the unique capability to project an expeditionary force by air.
