Happy retirement to Military Working Dog, Ember!
After eight-and-a-half years of dedicated service, MWD Ember, a Labrador Retriever, officially retired at Peterson SFB on April 1, 2025. Ember, specializing in off-leash counter-improvised explosive device and tracking, leaves behind a legacy of loyalty and bravery. She has found her forever home with a vet tech that has serviced her over the years at Fort Carson.
Additional space launch providers are being added in FY25 to the Phase 3 Lane 1 contract, joining the three providers awarded contracts in FY24, expanding the portfolio to strengthen our access to space.
