Tinker Air Force Base will install and test the Pre-emplaced Electric Vehicle Stopper (PEVS) prototype, an enhanced security system developed by the Dept. of Defense Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate and U.S. Navy, at an entry control point this week. PEVS will be integrated into the base’s robust security measures as part of a pilot program to stop unauthorized vehicles effectively and safely.

The DoD Non-Lethal Weapons Program has launched a new, non-lethal weapons online course for U.S. operating forces, Aug. 24. Located on the U.S. Navy's eLearning site, the course provides instruction on non-lethal weapons characteristics, employment, policy and applicability across the range of military operations.
More than 100 members of industry and academia attended the DoD Non-Lethal Weapons Industry Day June 22 at the Alfred Gray Research Center, Quantico, Va. Hosted by the Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate, the initiative provided a better understanding of future research and technology development procurements.
