Marines and civilian employees with Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., conducted a simulated mass casualty exercise aboard the base, Oct. 29, 2024. The exercise, which was titled Graduation Blues, simulated a scenario in which an explosive device detonated during a graduation ceremony. The exercise allowed depot and community emergency response agencies to test their internal policies and procedures for treating numerous casualties.
