Camp Zama Soldiers and Japan Ground Self Defense Force Soldiers participate
in a 10 week bilateral Co-Op program. This is Co-Op program #110 and
involves Japanese Soldiers working and training with U.S. Army Soldiers
assigned to several units on Camp Zama. The program includes physical
training, enhancement of English language skills and knowledge U.S. Military
structure.
US military participates for first time in a Japanese military review. Oct 23, 2016 at Camp Asaka, United States demonstrated their 4th Battalion 23rd Infantry regiment Stryker force followed by US Army Japan UH-60 Black Hawk and MV22 Marine Ospreys 1st Marine Aircraft Wing for dignitaries and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Minister of Defense Tomomi Inada were present.
