B-roll of how the AC-130U “Spooky” is one of the Air Force’s primary close air support aircraft. The complex aircraft carries a variety of weapons and sensors with the large crew required to man them. It also requires hard work from airmen on the flightline and support shops to ensure the aircraft can leave the ground ready to accomplish the mission. The airmen in the life support section ensure aircrews have the proper equipment to operate at high altitudes and survive if the mission goes awry. Scenes include Sequence of Life Support airmen testing helmet for high elevation flights. Includes commentary from the Aircrew Flight Equipment Tech. Produced by Tech Sgt. Chris Decker.
