Package about how members of the Massachusetts National Guard were honored for their war time service by their receiving their combat patch on April 28th 2011. Col. John A Hammond, Commander of Task Force Yankee, presented each Soldier with the award. During the ceremony the 26th "Yankee" Brigade was also re-presented the Croix de Guerre, which means Cross of War by Col. Jean-Francois Vassues Commander of the French Contingent, Epidote 27. The Croix de Guerre was originally presented to the historic Yankee Brigade more than 90 years ago, making the TD the first American military unit to be decorated by a foreign power.
