Marines and sailors of 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, conduct counter-improvised explosive device training May 6 at Marine Corps Base Hawaii's Boondocker Training Area. During the portion of the exercise shown, they used IED simulators, which produce a puff of smoke and an audible bang. Navy corpsmen and Marines to reacted to the simulated blast and treated mock casualties. The IED simulators were not heard outside the training area. America's Battalion, as 3/3 is also known, is scheduled to deploy later this year to Afghanistan. Also available in high definition.
