Package about how the Ex TS11 Joint Live Fire Exercise concluded today after 5 days of successful joint fires activities. The air assets involved in the exercise included USMC F-18C and RAAF Super Hornets, Tiger Armed Reconnaissance Helicopters and Blackhawk door gunnery. 25 sorties of F-18C/F were flown, expending MK-82, GBU-12 and 20mm Cannon, while the ARH flew 14 x sorties that included rocket, cannon and Hellfire. These air delivered sorties were coordinated with ground fires that included USMC Mortars, AS artillery (L119 and the recently introduced into service M777A2 155 howitzers) and AS mortars, and with Naval Gunfire Support from the HMAS Perth & Ballarat and USS McHenry and Fitzgerald. This was an extremely successful exercise that fully tested the Joint Fires system and enabled all participants to gain much from the experience. Also available in High Definition.
