Patriot Academy Commandant Lt. Col. Kenny Freeman congratulates Franklin Community Middle School students for completing the "Red, White and Blue Program" at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in Butlerville, Ind. Also available in high definition.
Students arrived Wednesday, August 3rd and were paired with Soldiers who mentored them throughout the week. Nine students received certificates of completion and awards on Friday, August 5th.
Throughout the course, middle school students eat in a military dining facility, participate in military education and briefings and sleep in Army barracks.
On Tuesday, August 16, 2011, Franklin Community Middle School students will return to school with new found motivation after a few intense days of character development, education, physical training, career preparation and positive mentoring.
