Debby Curnow of Fairbanks, owner of Alaska Trailblazers provided four horses and her experience as she guides the class through basic animal care and packing techniques.     Animals such as mules and horses have been used by soldiers in Afghanistan's austere and mountainous environments to help carry supplies to troops where vehicles cannot go.
