Brig. Gen. Craig Q. Timberlake, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade Commanding General, Philippine On October 21, 2011, Marines, U.S. Marines, and U.S. Sailors took part in a community relations project (COMREL) in Taguig City, Republic of the Philippines during Amphibious Landing Exercise 2012 (PHIBLEZ 2012). U.S. forces are participating in the PHIBLEX 2012 at the invitation of the government of the Republic of the Philippines. Marines and sailors will work alongside their Philippine counterparts to carry out a series of civil-military operations (CMO), to include engineering, dental, and medical civil action projects.
