Members of the Republic of Singapore’s Naval Diving Unit work with the diver-propulsion device, getting a feel for the craft before bringing it into the ocean Jan 12. The DPD is a two-man submersible craft used for the clandestine insertion of war fighters. Marines with Company A, 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, conducted DPD training alongside members of the Republic of Singapore Naval Diving Unit during Exercise Sandfisher Jan. 12. The battalion is a part of 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
