Time-Lapse of the North Carolina National Guard Joint Force Headquarters and the State Emergency Operations Center construction.
Situated on an 18-acre campus, the new Joint Force Headquarters and State Emergency Operations Center is a world-class facility that enables more effective coordination in response to man-made and natural disasters.
The facility houses National Guard Soldiers and Airmen, as well as staff from North Carolina Emergency Management, and communications centers for the N.C. State Highway Patrol and N.C. Department of Transportation's State Traffic Operations Center and Turnpike Authority. This confluence of first responders enhances the state's ability to efficiently handle any emergency or disaster.
