Lance Cpl. Carlos Garcia, 21, from Pasadena, Calif., competes at the 2012 Marine Corps Trials at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif. Garcia, a double amputee with Wounded Warrior Battalion West, suffered injuries from an improvised explosive device during combat operations in Sangin, Afghanistan. Garcia will compete in wheelchair basketball and cycling. More than 300 wounded, ill and injured Marines, Marine veterans and international service members will participate in the second annual Marine Corps Trials February
13-22. Four teams, East, West, Veteran and International will go head to head for team gold.
