Recruits tackle the Victory Tower during Basic Combat Training on Feb. 15, 2012, at Fort Jackson, S.C. Medal of Honor recipients Lt. Col. (ret.) Alfred Rascon and Command Sgt. Maj. (ret.) Robert Patterson rappel from the top of the tower and recipient Staff Sgt. Salvatore Giunta talks with drill instructors. The 193rd Infantry Brigade executes Medal Of Honor week from Feb. 14 to 17, 2012 on Fort Jackson, S.C., in order to promote reverence for the history of the United States Army and honor the heroes that created it. Each Medal Of Honor recipient attending will have a chance to observe training and meet with Soldiers and cadre to remember the past, encourage the present and look towards the future, so that Soldiers are set up for success and present a positive image of the Army through history.
