Marines with the Command Element, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, train to escape from a submerged aircraft while conducting Modular Amphibious Egress Trainer training aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Nov. 9, 2011. The training serves to prepare Marines for emergency evacuation from aircraft in the event of a crash at sea, and is a requirement for all 24th MEU Marines to fly in an aircraft over water.
