Amphibious transport dock USS New York (LPD 21) departs Naval Station Norfolk for a regularly scheduled deployment to the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility. New York is deployed as part of Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group (IWO ARG) and 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (24 MEU).
