A tsunami strikes a small island nation, causing massive devastation. Soon after, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief organizations spring into action. For the first time during RIMPAC, training and certification for expeditionary forces as well as civilian teams responding to foreign disasters is incorporated into the biennial exercise. The scenario playing out in the exercise is all too familiar. Includes sound bites from Lieutenant Blair Johnson, Maritime Civil Affairs And Security Training Command (MCAST), Ford Island, Hawaii. Also available in high definition.
